Both share the 48" x 40" GMA footprint; whether a filled tote can go in a rack depends on its base (steel or plastic pallet, or composite) and on rated rack decking, never on bare beams. Empty, a 275-gallon composite tote weighs 118 to 145 lbs and a 330-gallon tote 130 to 160 lbs. Grade and history alone are not enough; rinsed and as-is used totes are for non-potable use, and a tote that held chemicals or oils cannot be certified food-safe by rinsing because HDPE absorbs some of what it holds. Listings show prior contents where the seller knows them, and a certified 275-gallon rebottled tote is the usual choice for potable water.
